What “policy limits” means
An insurance policy has a maximum amount it will pay on a claim, called the policy limit. Recovering “policy limits” means we obtained the most that the at-fault party’s insurer would pay. In serious injury cases, we also look for other sources — additional policies, other responsible parties and the client’s own underinsured motorist coverage.
